Copyright and DMCA

Last updated: September 24, 2026

We respect the rights of designers and brands, and we expect the same from our members. This page explains how we handle copyright and trademark concerns.

Our designs

Every design on Craft Forest is owned by Craft Forest or licensed to us by its designer. You may use them only under our Licence. Copying, reselling or redistributing our files is a breach of the licence and of copyright law.

Trademarks and third-party rights

We screen designs before they go live and do not knowingly list artwork that uses trademarked characters, logos or brand names. If you spot something you think we've missed, please tell us using the process below. We'd rather remove a design quickly than argue about it.

Reporting a copyright or trademark claim (DMCA)

If you own a copyright or trademark and believe a design on this site infringes it, send us a notice through the Contact page with the subject "Copyright claim". To act on it we need:

  1. Your name, company (if any), postal address, phone number and email.
  2. A description of the work you say is infringed, with a link or registration number if you have one.
  3. The exact URL(s) on craftforest.io of the material you're reporting.
  4. A statement that you have a good-faith belief the use is not authorised by the rights owner, its agent or the law.
  5. A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are the rights owner or authorised to act for them.
  6. Your physical or electronic signature.

We review complete notices promptly and will remove or disable access to the material while we investigate. We may forward your notice to the person who supplied the design.

Counter-notice

If material you supplied was removed and you believe that was a mistake, you can send a counter-notice through the Contact page with your contact details, the URL of the removed material, a statement under penalty of perjury that you believe the removal was a mistake or misidentification, and your consent to the jurisdiction of the federal court in your district (or, if outside the USA, any district where Craft Forest may be found). If the original claimant doesn't file a court action within 10 business days, we may restore the material.

Repeat infringers

We close the accounts of members and contributors who repeatedly infringe the rights of others.
